THE WHITE BIRCH AREA

The White Birch AreaThis largest part of the park spreads out over 245 hectares. The total length of its road network amounts to 38 kilometres.

Ch. Cameron worked out its basic plan in 1784. Decorator P. Gonzaga designed the landscaping of the White Birch Area between 1803 and 1828. Neither monuments, nor statuary occur here. The main feature of this region is extraordinary diversity and beauty of its scenery, the forest expanse and green glades bringing to mind the immense space of the Russian Midland.
