ТНE PARADE GROUND

The Parade GroundIt took Pietro Gonzaga ten years (1803-1813) to arrange this landscape part of the park with fourteen criss-crossing roads, Rose Pavilion Ponds and iron ferries. The green lawn carpets are punctuated here and there by small groves, tree clusters gaily bunched together. The Parade Ground is one of the nicest parts of the park particularly attractive in the golden autumn time. It is adjoined to the Palace Area by the Triple Lime Alley.
